Thesis Statement :
However, drama activities bring more cons than pros as they are a waste of time and unfair for students who lack interest in the artistic side.
Topic Sentence 1 :
First off, drama acting requires students to allocate more of their time for drama planning, rehearsals and preparations.
Topic Sentence 2 :
Moving on, drama, being used as a form of evaluation for students, is considered biased for those who are more talented or blessed artistically.
Body Paragraph 3 :
It cannot be denied that drama presentations help in improving a student's soft skills. Throughout the process of planning, preparing and practicing for drama, students will have to communicate effectively with one another in a team to ensure high productivity. Even so, the potential of an individual student should not be evaluated solely through drama presentations. Instead, soft skills can be improved through alternate methods, such as talks, workshops and leadership camps which help boost a student's confidence. In addition, public speaking competitions as well as debate competitions can be held to help further enhance a student's soft skills. As much as drama is being seen as an effective way to evaluate a student's potential and to boost his or her soft skills, it must be reminded that not all students are versatile in such artistic fields. Moreover, drama takes up most of the students' time and consequently having less time for revision. As a result, students will be unprepared for examinations due to drama practice. In a nutshell, drama presentation is biased and harmful towards a student's academic performance.
